The official Freefall launch party happened this past Sunday at Third Place Books.  The turnout was great; over 90 people in attendance, I heard.

I gave a little talk about my Path to Publication, read an excerpt, answered questions from the audience, and then signed every copy of Freefall that was in the store.  (The bookstore totally sold out, ( Read more... )

The day after the Books of Wonder event, Dwayne and I went to Simon & Schuster where I got to meet and hang out with lots of people there including my publicist, the Freefall cover designer, Pulse and Aladdin editors, and the "service team."  (In quotes, because that isn't their official job title, even if it's what they sometimes call themselves.)

You know how sometimes you plan things and stress out over them and then the day comes and it's all right, but filled with annoyances and you have good memories but they are a tiny bit tainted?
